Winner of Botany's Mother's Day Contest!
Thank you to all those who entered our Mother's Day Contest!
Congratulations to Stephanie Soltys - the winning Mom of our Mother's Day Contest.
Here is the winning entry:
My Mommy is the Best!
A Poem by Cassandra Soltys (with a little help from her baby brother!)
I may be only two and a half years old,
But with my Mommy they broke the mould!
Aside from being successful, smart and pretty,
She takes time to volunteer on my nursery school committee.
When I was a baby she made me homemade organic baby food,
And made sure I was squeaky clean, with my hair nicely shampooed.
She takes me to yoga, dance and music class.
And dresses me up for Sunday mass.
Every day she picks me up from nursery school,
And even taught me how to swim in the Memorial pool.
We go to the park everyday to run and play,
And does all my laundry so I have clean P.J.
She even took me on 3 vacations to the beach,
And to read and write she's going to teach.
And although sometimes I may misbehave,
She would kiss and hug me and forgave.
Today she's going to read to me,
And for all those reasons, my Mommy's the best, I guarantee!
