Inspiration: Specimen Bud Vases

Summertime is the perfect time to create specimen bud vases. Group an eclectic mix of bud vases and bottles to fill with stems. Purchase stems from your local florist and cut from your garden - one or two stems of each variety is all that is needed. We used approximately twenty-four stems of flowers and foliage in eight bud vases and bottles to achieve this look. Focus on keeping some stems with height in taller bud vases and shorter stems in smaller bud vases. Make sure to vary the heights of flowers and foliage to create a dynamic display. This layered look allows you to examinee and appreciate each individual stem for its unique beauty.
