Inspiration: Hanging Amaranthus
Hanging amaranthus flowers flow to the ground from the stem, making it a very evocative variety. We love it for its shape and texture. The arrangement above features Extase anthuriums, cymbidium orchids, kangaroo paw, seeded eucalyptus, Ayoba Little Lady proteas, variegated weigella, green bell thlaspi, and sea oat grasses to compliment the green hanging amaranthus.
In this video The Mayesh Minute, David Dahlson shares with you some interesting historical information on the hanging amaranthus.
Here is more inspiration, where in these arrangements we combined green hanging amaranthus with red protea, wine cover carnations, seedling maple branches, pokeweed, also known as Phytolacca americana, and oversized dried palm leaves.
